Dear Family & Friends,
“Honor your father and your mother, that you may live a long time in the land the Lord your God is giving to you.” Exodus 20:12 NET
We live in a land where respect and honor of parents is highly valued. When they see this scripture they have conflicts with what they should do at times. They want to be faithful to the call that God is putting in their hearts to come to Him, but that may mean going against their parent’s wishes. Even those who have already made a commitment to Christ have struggles at times with their unbelieving parents. John will be teaching the story of the the Law coming to the Israelites this week with the Bibles storying class, including the 5th commandment to honor your father and mother. Pray that those present will come to an appropriate understanding of this text.
Today is to be our outdoor worship with the three sister churches, but the weather is not cooperating. Please pray that God will be glorified through our worship and people will attend no matter where we meet.
Thank you for praying for last week’s Christmas activities. Everything went very well. People responded well to the caroling and there were several visitors on Sunday. Pray with us now as our people continue to witness to these, their family, friends, and neighbors.
Thank you for praying for Fuhai as he was in the hospital. He is home and doing well. The doctors were able to give him medicine that helped his circulation in his brain to improve. They also removed a small blockage in an artery in his groin that has improved the circulation in his leg greatly. Pray with us that his health will improve to the point that he can find work to support and sustain himself.
Dave & Jeanay Stiles, our co-workers, will be returning to the States in January for a 10 week home assignment. They will be there for the birth of their son Jesse’s first child. Pray for the Stiles as they prepare for home assignment.

1. Please pray that good application of God’s commands will come out of the study of the Israelites receiving the Law.
2. Please pray that today’s outdoor worship will be honoring to God and that many guests will attend.
3. Please pray with us as we continue to witness and build relationships with those that were involved in the Christmas activities.
4. Praise God that Fuhai is doing better. Please pray that he can find appropriate work.
