Dear Family & Friends,
Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 NET
As Christians this scripture brings us hope as we place our faith in Jesus to lead us to the Father and to heaven. The father of one our brothers at the Eternal Light congregation died unexpectedly last Sunday morning. He was not yet a Christian, but at least two of his children are Christians. They asked that Paul Pan plan the service and make it as evangelistic as possible. Paul used John 14 as part of his scripture for the message. He presented the hope that comes in knowing Jesus. As I talked to Fang-yi before the service it was obvious the peace that was in his heart, but there were others in the family that did not have that peace. Please pray that the words of truth heard at the funeral will cause them to consider placing their faith in Jesus as their hope for eternity.
Today John will be leading the discipleship group at Good News. They will be looking at Abraham’s life for principles of how to be a good follower of God. Pray that the people will be willing to use the principles, that they discover together in God’s Word, in their lives.
One of the mom’s staying at the House of Hope had her baby this past week. That always makes for a busy time for Cheryl. This mom will return to the House of Hope for a period of time. This does not usually happen. Pray that a suitable place for her to live can be arranged soon.
Please be praying for the coming summer activities. Sports & English Camp will by July 14 – 20. There will be 150 campers attending. John is helping to plan the annual Taiwan Missionary Fellowship Conference this summer which is the following week. John is responsible for finding people to direct and run the youth and children’s program. Things are coming together for the youth and elementary program, PTL! We still need to find people to staff the nursery.
