Dear Family & Friends,
“But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a person. For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are the things that defile a person; it is not eating with unwashed hands that defiles a person.” Matt. 15:18-20
We were reading as a family through Matthew and came to this passage. We all decided this passage gave us all much to think about. It is easy to let things get out of hand with our tongue and attitudes. We often do not have the mind and heart of Christ toward our family members. What kind of witness do we have if we are unable to be loving and kind to those closest to us? Please pray that we will be a loving and caring family that has a good witness to those around us.
We asked that you pray for the inspection at the Home of God’s Love. Overall the feeling was that things went well. There will be another inspection at the end of the year. They are not able to accept any more babies at this time, because of numbers. They know that they will have additional babies coming at the end of the summer from a partner ministry. Please pray that God makes a way for these babies. Thanks for praying.
Pray for Guo Hwa. He is the husband of Shu Mei who was baptized last year as well as her father. Guo Hwa is a young man, but had to have a heart catheterization unexpectedly done on Friday. The Eternal Light congregation immediately started to pray for Him as he went to the hospital. He is very grateful for the prayers and concern. The whole family is praising God that he is recuperating very well, and that there are opportunities to share the Gospel with him at this time.
Joy Martin has been with us two weeks. She is doing very well adapting to the culture. Joy is game for about any new food or experience, and Samantha is working with her to learn some Chinese while she is here as well. Pray that God will use this summer to prepare Joy for future service in His kingdom.
