Dear Family & Friends,
“But the midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live. So God treated the midwives well, and the people multiplied and became very strong. And because the midwives feared God, he made households for them.” Exodus 1:17, 20-21
Fear is a powerful emotion. It causes many responses in us. It is interesting that fear is used in many translations of the Bible to represent this idea of reverence and worship. In the case of the midwives at the time of Moses’ birth it caused them to ignore the edict of Pharaoh and save the Israelite boys. They were willing to risk the wrath of Pharaoh and trust in God’s provision for them rather than offend the living God. Whose wrath or ridicule are you willing to risk in order to please and not offend the living God? Pray with us that we will always choose to revere and worship God rather than please men.
This week on Friday the Home of God’s Love is going to be having an inspection concerning their adoption ministry. Please pray that all will go well and that they will better understand how the government wants adoptions to be handled in the future.
Taiwan Xi En is trying to raise funds to establish a foundation on island in order to acquire the certification to process adoptions. This requires approximately $350,000 US to be held in an account to be used for the ministry. Please join the ministry of Taiwan Xi En in seeking the Lord in regards to becoming an adoption agency and raising the needed funds.
Each week John leads four storying groups. Each is very different, but one thing is the same. Each person needs to grow in their relationship with God. Please pray that the principles in these stories will make a difference in the lives of these people.
