July 27, 2014 Prayer Note

Dear Family & Friends,

“He first found his own brother Simon and told him, ‘We have found the Messiah!’ (which is translated Christ).”  John 1:41  NET

Andrew was completely taken by the man who John the Baptist had pointed out as “the Lamb of God.”  He asked to stay with him, and it changed his life.  Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, so that he too, could be changed by meeting Jesus, the Christ!  Do you have the same desire to tell your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers?  We should, but often we allow things to stand in our way of introducing people to Jesus.  Join us in praying that we take advantage of each opportunity the Holy Spirit gives us.

We are rejoicing with the Wednesday evening discipleship group.  Shu Jen, her brother & sister-in-law were all three baptized this past week.  This is thanks to May who wanted to introduce her friend Shu Jen to Jesus and then Shu Jen wanting to introduce her family to Jesus!  This is discipleship at work.  Pray with us for Shu Jen and her family as they grow in Christ.

The Eternal Light congregation is going to be having their VBS August 15th & 16th.  They are planning it as a two day, all day event.  There are special elements being planned for parents to attend as well.  We will be back in Taiwan to help.  Pray with us for the hearts and minds of those who will attend.

We wanted to let you know that John’s cell will not be working after Monday.  If you need to reach us, Cheryl’s number (812)272-6043 will still be active.  Pray for us as we fly to see Bethany’s family on Thursday.

Thank you for praying.

God Bless,

John & Cheryl
