Serve as a Volunteer

During special events, trainings, and visits at Emerald Hills, our home office in Louisville, we often provide a meal for the participants. We need volunteers who can come during these events, help prepare and serve lunch, and clean up afterward. This would be an excellent opportunity for a group to serve, but solo volunteers are also very much needed!

Want to help to create a welcoming and safe environment for our missionary kids to learn and play in? Your role as a Missionary Kid (MK) volunteer would mostly consist of playing with the kids and encouraging healthy interactions between them during our special trainings and home service visits. Our MK director will create and lead an intentional lesson plan that you can assist in implementing.

Many of our missionaries would greatly benefit from Administrative Assistance. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity that could be multiple times a week or just once a month, depending on your availability. You can assist a missionary, department, or program with their necessary reporting. All of our missionaries send monthly newsletters and many need assistance preparing and sending these. This opportunity will look a little different depending on the needs of the missionary and your willingness and availability.

We have an amazing full-time receptionist, but sometimes, she needs a break! We need volunteers who would be willing to fill in the important role of maintaining our front desk at our Emerald Hills home office. This would include answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and other assorted administrative tasks.

We primarily need host homes as near as possible to our Emerald Hills campus in Louisville, KY for easy access for our workers and trainees that visit for events. A worker’s stay in your home could range from 1 – 14+ days depending on the training and your availability. We need homes of all sizes. Sometimes it’s one person and sometimes it’s a whole family. Let us know what your capacity would be for both time and people.

Emerald Hill is an amazing place. We have 61-acres of prayer trails that are a joy to walk through and experience. Would you enjoy helping us keep things in shape? We need help landscaping, mowing, clearing trails, laying mulch, etc. Help Emerald Hills be a wonderful retreat for our missionaries and trainees.
