Thursday June 29 at 11 AM and All is Well.  Daphne has just had a hair wash and is resting on the couch.  When her mom and Step-dad return from an afternnoon Dr’s. Appointment I plan to revisit the NACC for a few hours.  Hope to find some old friends to say hello.

Shortly after writing the last post Daphne’s fever returned.  As instructed, we phoned the Dr.’s office and left a message.  4 1/2 hours later and they have not returned the call.
The fever has come down from 102 to 99 since then.  We have also changed the bandages on teh incisions and everything looks good.  She […]

Daphne’s fever broke Tue. afternoon and she is beginning to get her strength back.  Thanks for the continuing prayers,

Monday June 26 at about 8 Pm we discoverd that Daphne had developed a high fever (103.5).  We have lowered it to 102 with cold rags and ice and have given her ibuprofen, as directed by the Dr.  If it persists she is to see a nurse practitioner Wednesday.

Again, Thanks Sooooooo Much for your continued Prayers for Daphne.  After a couple of very rough days, she is much improved.  She is scheduled to see the orthopedic Dr. July 5th to have surgery staples removed.  She is struggling through therapy exercises three times daily.

4:30 PM Friday June 23.  We just arrived home from the hospital.  Daphne is settled into bed and plans to sleep, lots!
The future for Daphne is NO weight on the leg AT ALL for 6 weeks.  Then it is week to week from there. Could take up to 3 months to heal completely.
