Originally from Cincinnati, we were involved in local church ministry for several years before moving to Louisville in 2018 to join the home office. Peter is 7, Amos is 3, and Brandon and Maleah are…much older than that. Down at the bottom are some exciting updates coming in 2024!
Brandon
I am the Media Production Specialist on the Communications Team here at the home office. I’m essentially in charge of all things audio, video, and photography. Most of my time is spent planning, shooting, and editing a variety of videos for Team Expansion, as well as assisting our field teams with any video projects with which they’d like assistance. Click here for a video from my most recent video trip!
Maleah
I am the Third Culture Kid* (TCK) Care Coordinator. I work with our TCKs to ensure they are cared for, healthy, and heard. My TCK Associates Jacquie, Christy, and I work together with Member Care to make sure families are thriving (not just surviving!) in their time overseas.
*What’s a TCK? Glad you asked! It’s someone who spends part of their growing-up years in one or more cultures outside of their parents’ cultures – a blend of places, perspectives, and experiences – navigating a different concept of home. This isn’t limited to “missionary kids,” but they are definitely TCKs!
Peter & Amos
Well, they generally spend their time playing and/or making silly faces at each other.
2024
Things are changing! This summer we will be moving overseas along with our friends/teammates JC and Carla Williams to be what we’re calling a “fielded support team.” In August we’ll be moving to Granada, Spain, with the desire to be more strategically placed to partner better with our workers (over half of whom live within 3 time zones of Spain!), tell God’s story, and be a bridge between the Home Office and our fellow field workers. We’ll be able to make more frequent and more focused field visits to our teams – not just in a Communications capacity, but for our families with TCKs. We’ll be a place for people to visit that isn’t across an ocean. We’ll be able to better relate to our workers living internationally. We’re all so excited for this next step in our ministries and lives (even our children!). We’d love to answer any questions you might have about it.
Just like field missionaries, we rely on the support of fellow believers to continue our ministries. Financial, yes, but also prayer. Without that, we wouldn’t be here! If you’d like to do anything all the cool kids do (donate, subscribe to our newsletter, etc.) check out the right-hand column for the appropriate link. If you have any questions at all, email one of us at bweiss@teamexpansion.org or mweiss@teamexpansion.org. I’ll let you figure out whose is whose.
