Dear Family & Friends,
“Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before him in love. He did this by predestining us to adoption as his legal heirs through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will …” Eph. 1:3-5
The depth of God’s love for us as His children is amazing. He chose to love us before He created us even though in His foreknowledge He knew mankind would sin against Him. He chose to view us as holy even though we would choose to reject His son and nail Him to a cross. He chose to give us the rights of an heir, to live in His home with Him forever. Is He not worthy of our glory, honor, and praise? Then we should honor Him by sharing about Him and His love daily with others. Join us in sharing the depths of God’s love with His creation.
This Sunday John will begin a new set of Bible stories with a group of the children at the Home of God’s Love chosen to help them develop their faith in God and become disciples that make disciples. These children have chosen to be a part of this group. Please pray for their spiritual growth.
We presently have a one month old baby in our home. We call her Ling Ling. Hopefully, she will soon be able to stay at The Home of God’s Love. We also pray that she will very soon have an adoptive family. Please pray for ThoGL to be able to hire sufficient staff in all areas. THoGL needs to hire a social worker with sufficient experience to act as the head social worker in the foster care department.
Please continue to pray for the follow-up of students from Sports & English camp. Many students contact the staff through social media. Some are able to attend small groups and worship times. We pray that these youth will become true disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our co-workers Chris & Samantha Sanford & their children just returned from their summer in the US. Please pray for them as they work through jet-lag and begin to move back into ministry.
Andrew returned to the US in early August. He is presently living in Joplin, MO with Nathanael. He is planning to attend a discipleship training school led by Youth With A Mission (YWAM) beginning in January. Presently, he is looking for work. Please pray that God will provide him with an appropriate job.
Moriah is finishing her second week of her Senior year. Please pray for her to grow spiritually, to gain confidence in her abilities, and to finish well.
Thank you for praying for our ministry and family.
God Bless,
John & Cheryl
