We’re spending the next few weeks highlighting Team Expansion’s support staff, International Services (IS). You’ll learn who they are, what they do, and how many people it really takes behind the scenes to keep missionaries successful, healthy, and on the field!
Doug Lucas
President (also CEO and Founder of Team Expansion!)
Years at Team Expansion: 40 (Learn how Doug started Team Expansion in a dorm room at Kentucky Christian University in 1978!)
Number of Countries Visited: I decided early on not to keep track, so I have no idea.
Most Exotic Food You’ve Eaten: Fried scorpion (or was it baked? All I know is, it was sure black and crispy) has to take the cake. Crunchy. : )
Favorite Missions Experience: Every time I hear of another soul making it out of Hell. Sometimes I feel like that guy…. what was his name… “Dawes,” right? The guy in the movie Hacksaw Ridge? He was a real character, because the movie is largely accurate, in concept. And he just kept rescuing additional soldiers, saying, “Lord, just one more. Please give me just one more.” I love that idea. Lord, please give us just one more.
