We’re spending the next few weeks highlighting Team Expansion’s support staff, International Services (IS). You’ll learn who they are, what they do, and how many people it really takes behind the scenes to keep missionaries successful, healthy, and on the field!

Years at Team Expansion: 16

Number of Countries Visited: 32

Most Exotic Food You’ve Eaten: A soup made from elephant, or a restaurant in Kenya that served roasted  meats from eland, crocodile, lamb, ostrich, ox, antelope, zebra, chicken, pork, beef and several and other meats (in season).

Favorite Missions Experience: This happened many years ago when my family moved to Liberia West Africa.  On this occasion we made a trip into the jungle to a church conference.  We walked jungle trails for many hours.  It was hot and dry, even in the high forest.  When we arrived at our destination, our family was given a newly built mud wattle house and taken to a private place in a nearby stream to refresh ourselves from the long, hot jungle trek.  We were assembled to be welcomed by the leaders of the village.  They gave us each a cold bottle of Coke to drink.  Someone had carried a kerosene refrigerator in ahead of us, along with the kerosene and several cases of soda to be chilled for us.  That day I learned a good lesson in hospitality.
