Dear Family & Friends,
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19
The above scripture is part of the theme text for our team here in Kaohsiung. We believe this text was the focus of Jesus earthly ministry as well. Please pray with us as we desire to fulfill the ministry God has given us through Jesus in the proclamation of His good news.
Thank you for praying for the combined service last week. We were not able to meet outdoors, but we were able to quickly secure a large room on the grounds where we met. There was a great spirit in the air as we worshipped together. There were several visitors present that were able to be blessed by the love of God expressed through His people.
We had a good discussion of the 10 commandments and about God during the Wednesday Bible Storying Group. There were some very interesting questions that were asked. Please pray that these people will allow the Word of God to change their hearts and minds. The group that we hoped would start at the bank has not begun yet. We need to pray that the Lord will provide Shin Mei favor in the heart and mind of the manager so that he will allow the group to meet in the building or that another suitable meeting place can be found.
His Hands is very busy with new babies arriving and possible new moms as well. They are also expanding their ministry to the moms by hiring ladies to live with the moms at the House of Hope. Please pray for wisdom as they seek the right people to fill these positions.
