Dear Family & Friends,
“Walk as children of the light – for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth – trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Eph. 5:8c – 11 NET
Working to disciple people is very interesting. Sometimes you read through a passage of scripture like this one in Ephesians and all of a sudden a light comes on and they see several things that they need to change. Other times it is as if this passage has no connection to them, the light has not come on. We are discipling people at this time that fit in both categories. Pray for the discipling process as we try to help them accept the light of truth into their lives.
This morning after the main worship at the Good News congregation there will be a memorial service held for Job, Ren Bo Bo. Job was over Ninety years old. He was around 80 when David Atkin had the privilege of baptizing him. God blessed him with over 10 years of life as a child of God. Pray for his family and church family as everyone mourns his loss and celebrates heaven’s gain.
We thank you for praying for the summer activities that we are planning for here in Taiwan. Sports and English Camp’s registration is full. We will have 150 campers. God is providing works for the youth and children’s program as well. We are still looking for people to work in the nursery so that the parents of these small children can be blessed by the full conference. Eternal Light is beginning their plans for this summer’ VBS as well. Pray for God to be glorified through these events.
John will be leaving on Tuesday for a trip to Canada and the US. He will be visiting with Philip & Bethany’s family for a week. He will then travel to Indiana to attend our nephew Steven’s wedding. Pray that Cheryl and the children will be safe and healthy while he is gone. John will return to Taiwan on the May 2.
We ask that you remember to pray for Taiwan and its harvest workers at 10:02 each day. We were reminded by our co-worker, Jeanay Stiles, that this should include praying for good soil and for men & women of peace. These people of peace will be hopefully become workers in the harvest as well.
