Dear Family & Friends,
“Then Peter started speaking: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people, but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is welcomed before him.” Acts 11:34-35 NET
While studying the story of Cornelius with the English storying group we talked about the Peter’s unwillingness to change during the vision, but then his obedience afterwards. Peter certainly did not understand what the vision meant at first, but when face to face with Cornelius he applied the principle from the vision. The group recognized that they are part of those that can be acceptable to God now through Jesus. They also commented about how quickly Peter let go of his perspective and was obedient to God. How willing are we to be obedient to God when we discover something new in His word? Pray with us that we continue to exemplify this to the non-Christians around us.
Pray for the Wednesday evening Bible storying group as they meet to review previous stories while John is gone these two weeks. Often review like this is very useful in evangelism and discipleship.
Pray for Wan-ling, a mom at Taiwan Xi En, she is should have her baby any day. Pray as well for the adoptions to go through the courts without any issues. We are still trying to work out how the new regulations will affect international adoptions overall.
Both John & Nathanael are traveling this week to attend our nephew, Steven’s, wedding. After the wedding, John will head back to Taiwan and Nathanael will go to Philip & Bethany’s. Pray for them as they travel and for Cheryl & the kids while John is in Canada and the States.

1. Please pray that we will apply God’s Word to our own lives as we teach others to do the same.
