Dear Family & Friends,
“The land assignments to the nine and a half tribes were made by drawing lots, as the Lord had instructed Moses. Now Moses had assigned land to the two and a half tribes east of the Jordan, but he assigned no land to the Levites. … So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had solemnly promised to their ancestors, and they conquered it and lived in it. The Lord made them secure, in fulfillment of all he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could resist them. The Lord handed all their enemies over to them. Not one of the Lord’s faithful promises to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; every one was realized.” Joshua 14:2-3; 21:43-45
Have you ever read through the details of the division of the Promise Land to Israel and wondered why all this is recorded here? Why is it so important. God actually tells us why at the end of the Joshua 21. He is reminding us that each of His promises are important to Him and that He keeps all of His promises. It is interesting how often we doubt God. We pray as if we are not certain that God is hearing our prayers. We speak the truth of the Gospel without certainty that it will change a person’s life. God has shown us over and over in the scriptures that he keeps His promises. We need to keep ours to Him as well. When we chose to become a Christian we claimed to believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is time we act like it. Pray with us to be people who live alongside God and truly trust His promises.
Please continue to pray for new workers at The Home of God’s Love. The lack of workers causes people to have to work extra shifts and for the need to use more volunteers. This past week the head baby nanny, Michele, had surgery, which will keep her from working for a few weeks as well.
Please pray for Chris Sanford, who had his tonsils removed 12 days ago. He has still been in quite a bit of pain. The Sanford family will be leaving for a summer Home Service time on June 5th. Please pray for Chris to be completely healed by the time they leave. Pray as well for them to be provided with a vehicle to use for the summer for their family of 6.
Please be praying for Sports & English Camp. The S&E Camp leadership team are working hard providing information to staff and preparing everything for camp. Please be praying for all the staff and the campers.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
God Bless,
John & Cheryl
