Dear Family & Friends,
“Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was being provoked within him as he was observing the city full of idols. So he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present.” Acts 17:16-17 NET
This morning Chris, Sam, & Hosanna Sanford as well as Andrew, Moriah, and John all went to the Kaohsiung Marathon. Our purpose was to be someplace to meet people that we could and begin sharing the gospel. It became obvious that this is Chris’ strong suit. He immediately was out in front of a line of high school students introducing himself. He later on went back gave them a gospel tract and got some of their contact information. We all passed out a tracts and talked to people, but Chris was certainly the one that shined. Please pray for those that received the tract to read and consider it. Please pray as well for the potential relationships that may developed through the contacts made.
The Eternal Light congregation has another outdoor activity planned for Sunday March 3rd. Fang-yi, one of the men at church, has a co-worker that has invited the church to come to an orchard that his family owns to pick guava. Fang-yi has been witnessing to this co-worker for a long time. He believes that this offer is a way to see what other Christians are really like. Please pray that the congregation can make a great impact on this man and his family.
Cheryl will be arriving back on Taiwan this coming Friday evening. Please pray for her safety as she flies. Please pray as well for Philip, Bethany, and the three girls as they continue to work the difficult early months of a having newborn twins.
We ask that you continue to pray for David Atkin’s father, Marvin, as he takes cancer treatments. Pray as well for the Stiles as they continue to be in the States on home assignment.
