Another year has finished, and we are finding ourselves feeling reflective and grateful. There are many reasons to celebrate 2017, but we’ll constrain ourselves to just 17.
- SO MANY BAPTISMS! Official numbers are still trickling in, but suffice to say, we blew our goal of 2,100 baptisms out of the water.
- More workers were trained to go into the world, including our largest “Launch” to date.
- We began the process of creating international sending bases to equip and sustain more workers.
- Hundreds of daily prayers rose up on behalf of the nations.
- Through social media, outreach efforts, discipleship groups, prayer walks, English classes, medical events, refugee engagement and other methods – thousands of people heard the Gospel for the first time in their lives.
- More churches began partnerships with Team Expansion to bring Light to the darkest parts of the world.
- With the aid of a matching grant, we raised the funds and began construction on a lift in our home office at Emerald Hills.
- Zúme! This discipleship course multiplied across the nation, and is well on its way to being translated into several more languages.
- We identified and focused on the 30 largest cities in the world, garnering prayer and attention on some major unreached areas.
- Our Pathways participants experienced grace, humility, and growth through their summer internships.
- Some Quest apprentices finished their seasons of service, while others started a chapter of learning, observing, serving, and growing under the supervision of experienced missionaries.
- Our annual Connect gathering in SE Asia brought together workers serving in many nations together for renewal, encouragement, and rest.
- We saw the beginning steps for our hope of 24 4×4 DMMs by the end of 2024.
- Trainings like Kairos, Jonathan Training, and Launch continued to reach and equip lay Christians to expand God’s Kingdom.
- More churches and believers partnered with Team Expansion to support our ministry with finances, encouragement, advocacy, and prayer.
- More Team Expansion workers in the early stages of their ministries worked studiously through exasperatingly slow language acquisition.
- Unreached people around the world with no previous access to the Gospel were given opportunities to hear about God’s great love for them in their own language!
