“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God. Listen to his voice and hold fast to him.” (Deut. 30:19-20)
Father, we pray for disciples in India facing increased persecution. You tell us in Your Word that “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matthew 10:21-23)
Persecution is a promised and expected result of following Jesus. In many places in India, conversion leads to severe persecution, rejection, ostracism, and even death. We pray for our brothers and sisters in India to remain steadfastly committed and unwavering in their submission to Jesus even in the midst of suffering and persecution.
