Following God’s call to reach the unreached has led us to our own back yard in Joplin MO. We have discovered that there is a large refugee community here in Joplin that is full of people that are part of communities that have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Being a family of a diverse background ourselves we understand that adapting to a new culture and country can be difficult and sometimes downright frustrating if you don’t have someone to walk beside you. We have discovered that when the Church walks with these people and shares the love of Jesus through the simple things that a lot of us take for granted here in the U.S. it make a big difference in a refugees life. These simple acts of the Church stepping up and filling the gap where support agencies stop goes a long way in softening the hearts of the unreached refugees.
Our goal is to not only represent the Church in walking with refugees as they adapt to a new culture and country but to help connect other members of the Church with these people. Showing the united body of Christ is a vital part of reaching these people with the Gospel and showing them the love of Jesus as a whole.
