For 18 years, we faithfully served in ministry in Afghanistan, and in all that time, we witnessed only two baptisms. It was slow, difficult, and sometimes discouraging. Then, on August 15, 2021, everything changed.

When the Taliban took over Afghanistan, millions of Afghans fled to Tajikistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Germany, France, and the USA—displaced, searching for hope and a future. What seemed like devastation and loss became the very moment that God moved in an unimaginable way.

Suddenly, hundreds upon hundreds of Afghan women—their hearts, minds, and souls—began turning to Jesus Christ. The transformation was undeniable. It wasn’t just a moment; it was a movement, and it continues to grow.

In the areas where we serve, we now have new baptisms scheduled every three months, something we could have never imagined before.

What changed? How did this happen? The answer is clear: God’s timing is perfect.

We are called to make disciples, and He is the one who changes hearts. Through discipleship and the power of the Holy Spirit, lives are being transformed.

In one of our fields, more than 80 baptisms took place in 2024, and 41 home groups have formed. Every single day, the numbers grow. This miracle is not from human effort alone—it is God at work. We used Disciple Making Movements (DMM) to equip new believers to reach their own communities, and the impact has multiplied in ways we never saw before.

What seemed impossible in a Muslim country for years is now happening before our eyes. Where we once saw little fruit, we now see an abundant harvest. God’s power is real, and He is changing the world.
