A small number of groups have worked for many years to build a global picture of Christianity. They put together thousands of denominational reports, surveys, census data, news reports, and on the spot reporting. Their findings inform the whole Church and play a critical role for many mission agencies around the world who plan their missionary activity according to these findings. Good research enables global missions to allocate more strategically their financial and human resources and collaborate more effectively. These organizations include:
+ The Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the U.S. who produce the World Christian Encyclopedia and annual summaries.
+ Operation World, a ministry of WEC International, who produce the prayer handbook of the same name, along with an app, an abridged version called Pray for the World, the children’s book Window on the World, and Praying for the World bulletin.
+ Cartomission helps visualize statistics in maps.
+ Ethnologue, a ministry of SIL International, is the definitive compilation of the world’s languages and their needs of Bible translation.
+ Joshua Project, a ministry of Frontier Ventures, tracks the state of religions and Christian mission among each of the world’s peoples.
Father, we praise You for this collaboration in mission research around the world. Spirit, guide these groups to make inspiring, usable information available to Your global church so that more peoples will be able to hear the Gospel.

Please pray these requests and give thanks to God with Mavuto and Joyce Jambulosi in Tanzania:
- Pray for Boniface Lukanga and for the ministry he is doing in Chikunja. Pray that the Lord gives Chikunja church success in their ministry plans this year.
- Pray for the success of the ministry efforts by leaders from Lilala church. Pray that the Mkwapa church will grow and the Lord will use Zawadi and Francis for His glory in their work in Mkwapa and Chiwale.
- Pray that the Lord will give John Galus and Samueli more grace as they continue with evangelism efforts in Muungano.
- Please pray for the land dispute and the efforts made to solve this problem. Pray that leaders have the courage they need to address this problem.

Lord of the Harvest, thrust out more workers for Your harvest fields. Send out scouts and research teams for surveying the land to gain better understanding of where the Gospel still needs to be heard and disciples still need to be made and Your Name needs to be proclaimed.
