From a Team Expansion worker serving in SE Asia
Recently, our team set out for a weekend mission trip to three churches located on the outskirts of another city — about a two to three-hour drive from town. The journey was long, but our hearts were full of excitement to see what God would do among His people.
Throughout the weekend, we had the privilege of sharing our testimonies with many unreached brothers and sisters, declaring the goodness and faithfulness of God. We also hiked through beautiful countryside trails and visited serene waterfalls — moments that reminded us of the Creator’s majesty and grace.
One of the most memorable experiences was our visit to the longhouses in another region and a nearby church. Close to a hundred villagers gathered for a special afternoon fellowship where we shared about missions and the transforming power of the Gospel. It was a simple but powerful time — God touched hearts, many people shed tears, and we lifted Christ high.
During our visit, I had the privilege of meeting a member of a tribe that’s part of one of the unreached people groups specifically listed on The Joshua Project in our region. I was deeply moved to realize that God had arranged this encounter, allowing us to share the Gospel and testimony with someone from an unreached tribe.
This trip reminded me of one truth: when we are willing to go and obey the Great Commission — to make disciples of all nations — God Himself leads us to the people He wants us to reach. Even after our Zume discipleship training, we continue to see how He connects us with those who have yet to hear the Good News.
I came home thankful, joyful, and even more convinced that every step of obedience opens the way for someone to meet Jesus. Truly, all glory to God who calls, sends, and saves!
