“There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.” (Isaiah 11:1)

Recently, a young African man in central Italy followed Jesus in baptism as he sought to grow as a child of God and a disciple maker. He had many connections with Italians through work, and he had connected with other young men through basketball. Father, we ask You to grow his faith and open doors to proclaim the Gospel in boldness. We ask You to grow this young man to be a leader in a disciple-making movement in his region and beyond.

Team Expansion Worker

Please join Denise Tolbert (International Services) in lifting these prayers and praises:

  1. Pray for new foreign teachers to grow in resilience and closeness with Christ through
    their culture shock experiences.
  2. Pray that we step into moments of hardship with the Holy Spirit’s light rather than run to what is easy or comfortable.
  3. Pray that a creative means of executing Bible Studies can identified.

Praises:

  1. That God is bringing into community girls who would normally bully or gossip about each other.
  2. That foreign teachers are starting off as high performers despite culture shock!

Pray for More Workers

Lord of the Harvest, we ask You to thrust out more workers for Your harvest fields, like the young African man in Italy mentioned above. Call more internationals to believe and share their faith with others where they live, work, and play.
