From a Team Expansion worker:
This month we were blessed to participate in a four-day retreat with the leaders we have been serving alongside in different regions of the country. It was a very special time to pause, rest in God’s presence, and strengthen our hearts through His Word.
Throughout these days, we shared times of teaching, prayer, and fellowship. It was also an opportunity to hear testimonies of what God is doing in each of the communities where the Gospel is being proclaimed. The leaders shared not only their joys but also their struggles, challenges, and the various situations of opposition and persecution they are facing as they faithfully serve the Lord.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we see God continuing to work. To His glory, new groups of believers have begun meeting in several communities in the southern part of the country where there had previously been no Christian presence.
Some of our leaders and new believers are experiencing rejection and opposition from their families and communities. Even so, it is a great joy to see those who are being discipled remain steadfast in their faith and continue growing in their relationship with Christ despite these difficulties.
We thank God for this retreat. It was a time of spiritual renewal, encouragement, and unity for our leaders. They returned strengthened by God’s Word, encouraged by fellowship with one another, and motivated to continue serving faithfully in the mission the Lord has entrusted to them.
