Testimony from a local believer
I would like to share a story of Mohammad. He came to know of Christ through our informal school. He is our school’s neighbor and he was against us when we started school. He used to say to others that we would spoil their children, teach them from the Bible, and brainwash them.
We prayed for God to change Mohammad’s heart. We never lost hope, never behaved poorly with him, and we kept our trust that God would be at work.
Mohammad’s wife was very sick last month, so he took her to many good doctors and spent so much money, but could not get any results. Our believer and teacher Fatima used to talk to his wife and had a good relationship with her as a neighbor. Fatima knew about his wife being sick, so she met her and prayed for her in Jesus’s name.
That day, Mohammad’s wife felt a little better, and she told Mohammad that Fatima had prayed for her. At first, Mohammad was really angry, but after some time he thought “If my wife is felling a little better after so much pain, that is more important for me than anything else.”
The next day, Mohammad met Fatima and spoke so kindly to her and apologized for his bad behavior from the last year. He also allowed her to pray for his wife again.
By God’s grace, Mohammad’s wife is better and she has started believing in Christ, but she never acknowledges this in front of her husband because she is afraid of him. Mohammad does not yet trust in Christ, but he has started behaving well with our believers.
Keep praying that God may change his heart and he may also accept Christ as his savior. As God changed his heart toward us, so we believe that one day he will believe in Jesus also.
