The Challenge: Where is the Church NOT?
Researchers estimate there are at least 59,000 villages in Nigeria, but no one knows which villages have churches and which do not. Let’s change that. ACHIEVE Nigeria seeks to identify these gaps and ensure every village has the opportunity to hear the Good News.
ACHIEVE Nigeria springs from the Coalition of the Willing (COTW), a collaborative alliance working to determine where the church is — and where it isn’t.
By securely sharing data, we can more clearly see where the churches are — and where the gaps remain. Together, we can focus on the places where the church has not yet been planted.
Our Goal: A Church in Every Village Everywhere (ACHIEVE) in Nigeria.
Target Areas
Nigeria is made up of regions of 500–2,000 villages. By identifying these Target Areas, we can mobilize churches, local agencies, and global partners to embrace them.
In each area, we will:
- Partner with local churches and agencies
- Pray together
- Share the love of Jesus with anyone who is interested
