Team Expansion General Request: March 2, 2019
Many places in East Africa must be engaged through creative access for workers due to the hostility of local religions toward Christ. Pray for new outreach initiatives in Africa among people who need the Gospel, Biblical churches, employment opportunities, and education. Pray for the workers’ sensitivity to the Spirit as well as receptive hearts of those hearing the Message.
Final 58 of Laos
The Final 58 is an effort to engage each of the remaining 58 Unengaged/Unreached People Groups in Laos with a reproducible evangelism and church planting effort. Pray for the mobilization of Lao national workers over the next 5 years to engage these 58 UUPGs with a disciple-making and Biblical church planting effort that has the potential of multiplying and reaching each of these groups in their entirety.
Praise God that a new believing family among the Bit people are being discipled. Pray for transformation, power, and boldness to multiply.
Gospel Breakthrough
Serbs of Bosnia | In both Zenica and all over BiH, the enemy has used division to weaken Christ’s church. Praise God that believers in Zenica have begun the hard work of forgiveness and reconciliation and are moving toward unity. Praise God for unifying events like city-wide prayer gatherings and for personal breakthroughs as wounded pastors, believers, and international workers surrender their past hurts to the LORD.
Team Expansion Worker
Pray for Cody Freshour (International Services) as he deals with some unraveling faith. Pray that God will show him who He is through the Scriptures in a miraculous way. Pray for Cody’s fiancée, Ashley, as she deals with some questions in her faith, too, and as they continue to plan for their wedding in June. Pray for peace in Cody and Ashley’s relationship through these large life events. Pray for Cody’s father. He tore his meniscus and is dealing with sciatica and polymyalgia rheumatica. Ask for relief for him as he is dealing with a great deal of pain.
Answered Prayer
Thank God for trainings in Community Health Evangelism and in Disciple Making Movement principles which took place in February in East Africa. Teams serving in a very sensitive country were able to retreat to a safe place in order to receive these trainings which will enhance their efforts to reach people who are walking in darkness because they do not know Jesus. Give thanks to the Lord of the harvest for raising up workers who are willing to risk their lives for the sake of the Gospel.
