Update on the Bobo Outreach

Our team engaging with unreached groups in South America are praying diligently and making great efforts in their relationships with the Bobo people. They recently submitted this ministry update:

We are very excited about the small advances, the first contacts with the Bobo people, who are isolated in a protected area of the country.

Some steps have already been taken, but we are regularly adjusting our strategy as needed:

1. In December 2021, the local missionary, Tsasibo, contacted the indigenous and government leaderships to become a teacher among the Bobos. This request came from the Bobo leadership itself.
2. The isolated tribes communicate with the protection and care agencies via radio. This practice is used because they are too far away to report any accident, mainly by snakes and animals. On January 12, Tsasibo communicated with one of the Bobo leaders, who said that it is easier to maintain contact with them via radio. Through the radio they can also make friends and begin to talk about the Gospel.
3. Sometimes the Bobos go out for health treatment and to be at the government protection agencies. This can be a good opportunity. It was on this occasion that Tsasibo had a brief conversation with the chief. It was also on this occasion that lanterns and watches donated by the brothers from the United States were delivered. On February 27, in a radio conversation, the Bobo indigenous leaders thanked him for the gifts received.

Beloved brothers, as we have said and know, reaching the Bobos is a very big challenge. Let’s keep praying for the doors that open and opportunities that cannot be missed.
