An imam is a Muslim religious and community leader. He leads prayer in the mosque and performs other religious duties. He gives counsel and direction to his community. Jewish priests were among those who staunchly opposed Jesus and antagonized Him. Would you expect that many of them would become believers in Jesus? Yet according to Acts 6:7, that is exactly what happened! Let us believe together that through the mighty power of the Holy Spirit, Ibwe speaking Muslim Imams will put their faith in Jesus Christ. Father, we come to You boldly, on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of imams around the world. By Your Spirit, Jesus, penetrate their hearts and bring them into Your Kingdom. Reveal to them Your glory, love, compassion, and power. Father we are thankful for the imams who have already placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Grow them in Your love, Your knowledge, Your Spirit’s wisdom. Illuminate their hearts and minds, teach them Your Word to know how to lead their communities into the Light.

Z and A are asking for your prayers for the wife of their Servy translator. She is
seriously ill with cancer, staying at home currently receiving the support
of her family. Also asking for prayers for the Transcarpathian team. They have now
returned home to Ukraine from Germany. The daughter of the Carpathian translator was being treated in Germany for cancer, and many prayers have gone out for her health in the last two years. She is very weak now, and her parents wanted them all back in Ukraine, where she could be in the familiar environment surrounded by the people who love her.
In July, their oldest son was married. He and his wife see themselves living and working in Central Asia. Pray for God’s leading them and watch care over them!
