When two women noticed unfamiliar men visiting their village, they approached them and asked if they were the ones distributing audio Bibles – like the ones to which others in their village had been listening. Eager to hear the message of Jesus for themselves, the women listened and were so moved that they immediately prayed, asking God to forgive them of their sins. They expressed a desire to follow Christ but shared their fear that their husbands might not allow them to be Christ followers or even listen to the Bible in their homes. The women returned to their homes, planning to ask their husbands for permission to learn more about Jesus. We pray that these women would be set free from fear and be filled with boldness to follow Jesus. We pray for their husbands to have soft hearts so their entire families would come to know and obey Jesus.
