Christmas is a great time for ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers to share the truth of the Gospel with their Muslim students. Pray that God will give ESL teachers boldness and courage to share this life-giving truth during the month of December.

Lord, may the Druze be blessed and know the joy of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or stand around with sinners or join in with mockers. May the Druze delight in Your law and meditate on it day and night. May the Druze be like trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit each season. May their leaves never wither, and may they prosper in all they do. Lord, please watch over the path of the Druze, leading them to a right relationship with you. (Psalm 1)

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is the Italian region at the end of the toe of Italy’s boot. It is famous for its very active volcano, Mt Etna, crystal-clear sea, beautiful beaches, and ancient Greek and Roman temples to many gods. It is a crossroads of culture as well, sitting a mere 350 kilometers (200 miles) from the city of Tunis, causing it to be a landing place for many North African immigrants. Pray that the region of Sicily would turn to Jesus as the only One Who can give them life and spark a Disciple-Making Movement.

Pray for wisdom and good health for Mike and Renita Tackett (International Services) to serve with Team Expansion. Pray for churches everywhere to safely reopen. Pray for the training of new elders and deacons for their home church. Pray that they will learn well and quickly how to serve workers under their care. Ask for growing relationships with all team members. Pray for Renita’s health and safety as she continues her full-time work in counseling. Pray that she finishes strongly in her work as she plans for retirement. Ask God to provide a buyer for their home in Pikeville, KY, especially now that they have moved to Louisville.
