“And the angel answered her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the child to be born will be called holy – the Son of God.’” (Luke 1:35)

Father, You have given to Team Expansion this vision of seeing Your Spirit ignite 24 Disciple- Making Movements among the unreached by the end of 2024. Father, we pray for a former Iraqi Muslim who now embraces an abiding relationship with Jesus and who has a passion for becoming a disciple maker among Dearborn’s Arab Muslim population. Father, we pray for this man, trained in DMM practices to become a catalyst for a movement to Christ that extends well beyond his own social circle.

Pray for More Workers

Lord of the Harvest, thrust out disciplemakers from among Arab disciples with Muslim backgrounds to reach more Arabs with the Good News of Jesus.

Ask God to lead her to people of peace whom she could invite to gather their friends or family together to read and discuss the Bible.
For the completion of the recording of the New Testament in the local dialect!
For residency application. Pray that it would be approved and God would continue to sustain her in North Africa.
For an upcoming trip she will make to the south of the country. Pray for opportunities to share Good News.
For peace in the region. The news of what is happening in the Middle East is devastating and has implications for North Africa. Pray for real peace that comes from Christ to saturate the region and for wisdom in how to point friends and neighbors to Him through this.

Praise:

For the new discovery Bible study that started in recent weeks. N is a 70+ year old woman who was baptized this summer. Before her baptism she could only see 50%, but she came out of the water seeing clearly! She has started studying the Bible with her adult children, and they are very compelled by what they are learning.
For J and O-two young women who decided to follow Jesus within the last two years. They had a long season where they stopped growing and wanting to meet with the local believer discipling them. They now want to continue in their faith and are meeting with others in their home to study the Bible informally. Pray that the Spirit will transform them!
