“When Abraham looked around, he saw a ram behind him caught by its horns in a bush. So, Abraham took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. Abraham named that place Yahweh Yireh. It is still said today, ‘On the mountain of God it will be provided.’” (Genesis 22:13-14)

Yahweh Yireh, the LORD will Provide – Father, we praise You because You see the past, present, and future. You anticipate and provide for what is needed.

Moriah, the site of Abraham’s thwarted attempt to sacrifice his son, has been traditionally associated with the temple mount in Jerusalem. Though scholars debate the location, it is interesting to note what occupies that location today, the Muslim shrine called the Dome of the Rock. Jesus, whom John the Baptist called “the Lamb of God” is thought to have been crucified just a quarter mile away from Mount Moriah. It was there that Jehovah Jireh provided the one sacrifice that would make our peace with Him.

Team Expansion Worker

-J made a trip to the Middle East in January as a follow-up Lebanon follow-up to a previous visit. Thank God for providing safety and effective ministry.
-J’s dad, Jerry, is recovering from a stroke which occurred in January.
-Please pray for J and his wife Amy for churches in Central Asia who are facing a time of trial.
-Daughter Maggie is applying to colleges and for scholarships. Pray for wisdom in choosing a school.
-Daughter-in-law Beth gave birth to a healthy baby girl in January. Thank God for His precious gift to the C family.

-Pray for Amy’s dear friend, “I”, as her move to a nursing facility.

-A special year-end grant was given by a supporting church to help Syrians and Lebanese in the Middle East. Praise God this church and this gift!
-Thank God for a new supporter from a partnering church in Franklin, IN. Their partnership will help with monthly support as well as with project needs in 2026.
