Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2)

Are you familiar with the prayer of Esther? Just as Queen Esther stood before the king to intercede for her people, we go before the King of Kings on behalf of our communities before taking any action. The Esther Prayer means asking God for His favor, His direction, and His mercy to move ahead of us, to open spiritual doors and prepare hearts for the Gospel. Then we act, by walking the streets where we long to see God work, praying with open eyes and hearts, observing, listening, and interceding for the people and places we encounter.

During these prayer walks, we prayed for myriads of people in the streets, for healing, provision, family restoration. Many have cried as we prayed, others find hope and even surrender their lives to Jesus. It is one of the most powerful ways to bring God’s Presence into our communities.

Team Expansion Worker

Join Ron Friesen (International Services) in lifting these praises and requests:

-Hundreds of health-related orgs reaching out to a hurting world
-Daughter Tamara and Aaron and baby Uriah have just moved to New York City to work
and help with a church plant. They are loving it!.
– Wife Laurie’s family – a great visit to France after almost ten years, to reconnect with Laurie’s family from the far north near Belgium to the southern coast. Celebrated and delved into life’s deepest questions and beliefs and appreciated her family history spanning centuries in Europe and the middle East.
-Gaza/Israel – Praise God for release of hostages, prisoners, ceasefire, aid efforts,
protection of family living there; pray for local believers caught in between, rebuilding,
trauma healing.
-Part-time work for Laurie and Jasmine, our eldest, at Churchill Downs – thoroughly enjoying their team and thousands of visitors as work and witness go hand in hand.

Pray for More Workers

Lord of the Harvest, we ask You to thrust out more Esther figures to fast and pray, and prayer walk their communities. Raise teams of folks to go on vision trips to pray and walk the city streets of our fields and potentially new peoples and places to see obedient disciples there and everywhere.
