Since the collapse of communism, Ukraine’s 44 million people have been pulled roughly and alternately between Russian and Western influence. Russia’s invasion shocked the world and led to the death of tens of thousands of people, war crimes, massive destruction, and trauma. Millions are displaced, both internally and abroad. Local Christian groups and individuals have been outstanding in opening their doors and offering hospitality and witness to them. Ukrainian Orthodoxy needs prayers for healing of internal divisions as well as for providing spiritual guidance to people during the war: Catholicism has deep roots in Ukraine and has grown rapidly since 1991 while Protestantism is only around 2% of the population. However, Ukraine is home to many Biblical seminaries and headquarters of mission agencies – many now flattened by war.
Father, we pray for Ukraine to find healing in You, fresh purpose, unity, and direction in You. We pray that, out of the trauma and loss, a stronger nation will be forged, grounded in integrity and justice, and become once again one of the world’s breadbaskets, with Christ as the Cornerstone.

Pray for the A family during a crazy time of transition (due to no more visa renewals) from the country in which they have been serving.
- Pray for D, a disciple, to find and have a local partner in the work.
- Ask for D to find community and to grieve well the A family’s leaving.
- Ask for God’s direction for what is next for the A family.
- Pray for the contacts who are meeting with D and coalition partners to decide for Jesus.
- Pray for M, M, and the rest of their contacts to make the decision to be baptized.
- Pray for S to invite his friends and meet regularly.
- Lift R, a contact from a coalition partner, to be encouraged by the help the coalition partner is giving.
- Ask God to bring D a wife.
Pray for More Workers
Lord of the Harvest, thrust out more workers to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Ukraine and in Russia.
