Father, we pray for our team in Granada, Spain to successfully launch a project called Coalition 1700 that seeks to catalyze DMMs in every one of the seventeen regions of Spain. We ask You to make it possible to engage each area with prayer walking and evangelism leading to church planting. You know the 7,500 towns in Spain have no evangelical church at all. we pray We pray for Your Kingdom to come in Spain.
Team Expansion Worker
For the last eight months, L and B’s team in the Middle East has been doing a Bible study in the “Pearl” language. This has been a new challenge in many ways but also an effective way for the team to go deeper into both Scripture and language. There have been some bumps along the way, and the team has had to learn from their Pearl friends how to ask questions without making them feel singled out or embarrassed. God has been gracious with this time. Please pray that God would deepen understanding of Him and that this would lay a good groundwork for future Pearl believers to join into a community of faith, love, and acceptance.
• “Khalid” was diagnosed with cancer several months ago, and the men on L and B’s team have been able to work closely with him to help him get his insurance to cooperate and actually pay for the treatment he needs. Initially, Khalid was resigned to the reality that his cancer would kill him, so he figured that he would just go back to Pakistan and die. One of L and B’s teammates explained how much God loves him and that his life is valuable. Khalid finally agreed to undergo the treatment. Khalid has seen God’s mercy and love poured out on him in extravagant ways, and this has caused him to want to understand just why and how God could love him so much. He recently began reading the Book and is captivated by its words. Please pray that Khalid’s body would be totally healed by these treatments and that his heart would be transformed by J’s love and grace.
• L and B are currently in a class as they work toward counseling degrees. This class has them practicing counseling skills, which is a bit surreal. As they have continued in their studies, they have seen with increasing clarity how great the need is for mental health care and resources among Pearls. Please pray that God would give them the time, strength, and stamina that they need to keep going.
• One of the couples on L and B’s team is expecting their first child! This is wonderful news, but they have been having a lot of difficulty with finding health insurance that will cover the labor and delivery. Please pray that this will all snap into place quickly!
