Connect Gathering

“For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment – what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.” (John 12:49-50)

Father, we praise You for sending Your Only Son Jesus to show us who You are, to communicate clearly how to spend eternity with You. We praise You for Your authority and love to speak Truth and give eternal life.

We thank You, Father, for opportunity to gather Team Expansion workers for a regional conference. We thank You for organizing all logistics of travel for 150 or so people. Let our workers hear Your voice this week at Connect Gathering.

Father, we also thank You for the 2024 Pathways interns who have been sharing Your story and their stories cross-culturally this summer. We ask You to guide them through processing their experiences this week as they debrief and decompress to discover what You have in store for each of them.

Team Expansion Worker

Please pray these requests with J and C in East Africa:

1. Pray that God would start a Disciple-Making Movement by 2024 that would multiply into 10,000 simple churches by 2030.
2. Pray for everything to sell as J and C prepare to return to the U.S.
3. Pray for strength, patience, and faith, as their family goes through these turbulent months of transition.

Praise

1. Praise God for the summer interns!
2. Praise God that prayer walks are going great and new groups are starting.
3. Praise God that the truck is back, repaired, and on the dealer showroom in town.
4. Praise God that all the big items have sold except the cars! (And there is a backup option to sell via a car dealer, if needed, after leaving.)
5. Praise God that the internet is back up to normal speed after a cable off the coast of South Africa was damaged and repaired.
