“…because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2) In Malaysia, people are classified as Malay by the federal constitution if they speak their national language Bahasa Malaysia, practice Malay customs, and are followers of Islam. Pray for God’s revelation through dreams and visions, that they find their identity in Jesus Christ.
Several Lao national missionaries have been reaching out to the villages and churches they have planted via telephone while everything is on lockdown. One team working with the Muji tribe have continued to disciple new believers. Via the telephone, they have trained them on baptism and coached one of the new believers as he baptized his brother! All of this has happened without the team being able to visit in person. Praise God! It was clearly demonstrated that the Gospel is not chained! (2 Timothy 2:8-9)
Lift the Serbs in Bosnia. Pray against a stronghold so deeply entrenched in Islam that keeps its followers from asking questions. Pray that many Serbs in Bosnia (Muslim) would begin to ask questions that eventually leads them to find answers of Truth and freedom in Jesus Christ.
The year 2020 has brought with it a great amount of unique changes and challenges for the P family in Central Asia. Through it all, may the Lord open their eyes toward the joy in life and deepen their trust in Him. Ask God to clearly reveal to them the direction they should go.
