More complex than a space program, the grassroots-led task to translate the Bible into every human language has attempted and achieved wonderful things for God. We are called to pray for the languages and people who still wait. We give praise to YOU, Father, for what You have accomplished to give access to Your Word in 3,742 languages! On the other hand, we pray for 100 million people who have no access to Scripture in their heart languages. More than 1.15 billion people are without the full Bible in the language they know best. The centuries-long and international project to translate the Bible is complex, successful, and especially remarkable for being achieved just by ordinary Christians from many backgrounds working together in obedience to God. Scripture translation preserves local languages and cultures and enables the Church to be culturally relevant. In many countries, Bible translation has also been the starting point for Christians of different denominations to work in unity. Father, thank You for making this collaboration possible for telling Your Story! And we know that translation is not just about texts. Team Expansion Worker
Pray with Melanie Robinson (International Services) for opportunities to be salt and light in her family and in her community. Pray for her family in the passing of her mom, Barbara Stanton. Pray for her son Ethan who is looking for employment. Pray he will soon receive his unemployment insurance to help with his stress level. Pray for husband Terry and his continuing health issues. He just keeps going! Pray that Melanie’s pain from arthritis will be manageable and, if God desires, He will heal her spine completely. Pray grandson Rowan will continue to talk and learn words and that grandson Jace will find joy and peace in all things through our Lord. Ask God to help Melanie care for her family with joy and love.

Lord of the Harvest, thrust out more laborers for communicating the Gospel in innovative and creative ways so that Your Word brings life to communities and people currently without any part of the Bible in their heart languages.
