Team Expansion General Request
(Ramadan April 13-May 12) Jerusalem is the third holiest city in all of Islam, behind only Mecca and Medina. The Dome of the Rock shrine marks where Muhammad took his famous “night journey” to heaven. Prayers said at the al-Aqsa mosque are believed to be worth 500 prayers spoken elsewhere. Muslims flock from around the world to visit and pray at these sites. We know that Jerusalem is so much more than that. It is the epicenter of all redemptive history! This is the place where Jesus willingly took the punishment for our sins on Himself – where He was crucified and then raised Himself from the dead! This is the place He first poured out His Holy Spirit and saved thousands! Today there are multitudes of Muslims living in and visiting Jerusalem who have never heard this amazing news. Team Expansion Worker
JM had major stomach surgery on Mon 1/18. Recovery has not been without its pain and ups and downs. Pray that she continues to heal and feels the Hope the Lord has given her. Pray for the timeline for the return of their family to Tanzania, with July as a possibility. Pray for a specific logistical letter that they need to move ahead in the visa process. Pray that steps taken during JM’s husband’s trip in March paved the way for a smooth return.
Pray for More Workers
Ask God to change the hearts of government officials so that Team Expansion workers will be able to live and serve in countries that are currently closed.
Unreached People of the Day
The Dungan people in Kyrgyzstan are often farmers who serve on community farms. In fact, one Dungan community farm produced all the garlic needed for the entire country of Kyrgyzstan. Would you join us in praying for one worker to go and work amongst the Dungan while sharing with them the good news of Christ?
