Pray for Sicily, one of the island regions of Italy that has been influenced by many cultures through the centuries. Sicily, much like the rest of southern Italy, tends to have a greater interest in the spiritual world. The Sicilians have many festivals to venerate saints and Mary, and they are heavily influenced by superstitions. Pray that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes so that they would see how they have become slaves to the enemy due to traditions and superstitions. Pray that when they recognize how far they are from the truth, they would quickly repent, believe in Jesus, and join the work to set their friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors free. Pray that a disciple-making movement would sweep the island bringing new life to the region and expanding Jesus’s kingdom there.
“Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.” (Acts 8:4) It is an exciting thought to imagine the far-reaching potential of the Gospel when considering the countless international connections that the Dearborn community has. Pray for the Gospel to spread far and wide through those who find Christ in Dearborn. www.Pray4Dearborn.com
Materialism is one of the great barriers to the Good News in Taiwan. Many people are very focused on their careers, on their children’s education, and on how to live the most affluent lives possible. There is very little time left for spiritual nourishment or ministry. Ask God to pour out His Spirit upon the people of Taiwan to create a true hunger for Him.
Join Wayne and Greta Meece (International Services) in praying for friends and co-workers in Ghana, pastor Afrifa-Konadu and Georgina and Abraham, who were injured in an auto accident. They are OK and recovering from their injuries but need your prayers. Please pray for the family of Russel O. Young who died in Tower Hill, IL. Russel served the church as an elder and was the’ Meeces’ good friend, mentor, and prayer warrior for many years. Continue to pray for our country, our churches, and our families who suffer from the Covid 19 virus.
