Team Expansion has several teams that work in Muslim East Africa (codename: “Wellspring”). This area is dangerous to work in, so each team is given a codename and no names can be shared. Despite that, these updates from our Wellspring teams will give you a glimpse at the incredible work God is doing through them.

Field Update: J-Team

J-Team reported this last month that one woman from their region practiced witchcraft and was tormented by demonic spirits at night. Her sons, who are Christ-followers, prayed with her over the phone and the spirits left her. Following this experience, the woman went to the city where she met the J-Team. She told them, “I have traveled all the way from _____* to ______* because I have seen and tasted God’s kindness in my life, and I want to commit my life to Him.” The J-Team is currently studying the Bible with her and her family and have plans to baptize them soon.

*For security we cannot reveal the names of these cities.

Field Update: D-Team

A Church leader that has been supporting the D-Team for some time recently wrote about their support, “Our commitment to this team ends this month, so I want to say “thank you” for asking us to be part of this project. Linda (who has done a great job, by the way) told me that our team in DD has had nineteen baptisms since the work started. That’s more than we could have asked for, especially from just one of your many teams. I thank God for blessing this work so much and ask Him to continue to work in a powerful way.”

Field Update: A-Team

The A-Team, serving in East Africa, has had great success in starting many house churches in their city and with so much growth there are efforts being made to gather together for fellowship as one bigger church. The local believers are taking responsibility for the growth and mobilization of these house churches and are developing strategies to reach their neighbors within their area.

Field Update: S-Team

The S-Team is celebrating as they have received three-year residence permits to remain in their location! This will allow them to continue ministering to the people in their area. They have noted that many of the people do not appear to be entirely opposed to the Gospel, but due to addictions and spiritual bondage, they are not receiving the message either. Please be praying that the bondage over these people would be broken and that they would accept Christ.

Field Update: K-Team

After experiencing a two-week homestay with local Muslims, the K-Team shared their experience. One member said, “It was an incredible time for me, and I felt the power that Jesus provided us to fearlessly talk about Him where His name is not yet known.” They are staying in touch with their homestay hosts in hopes that they will one day place their faith in Jesus.
