The word Islam means “submission.” In their minds, Muslims can only relate to God from the position of being a servant or slave, fully submitted to God. While submission is a Biblical concept, the Muslim understanding is incomplete. Christians believe that through Jesus, people can move from being servants to becoming sons and daughters (Galatians 4:7). Because this idea is so antithetical to everything Muslims are taught, pray for breakthrough. Ask God to enable Muslims in Dearborn and other places to grasp the unfathomable truth: He wants to relate to them as children, not as slaves (Matthew 18:3).

Almighty God, you promised through the prophet Isaiah that one day, in Galilee of the Gentiles, “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light.” (Isaiah 9:2) Lord Jesus, we pray that the Punjabi Sikhs in India who walk in darkness see the Great Light promised in Galilee and be drawn out of the darkness into the Light of You, our Lord and Savior.
