MARRIAGE IN CRISIS

Isa was a Muslim. His wife was a Muslim. His parents were Muslim. Everyone he knew was a Muslim. But he wasn’t happy.

Isa and his wife were fighting constantly. He didn’t even want to be married to her anymore. Everything he tried failed.

He went to the missionaries in the village over the hill and they shared the Gospel. He believed in Jesus as His Savior. Now that he was a follower of Jesus, he thought he should divorce his wife. But the missionaries encouraged him to stay and ask God to reach her. They also gave him a solar audio Bible and encouraged him to listen to it with his family at home.

Isa began listening to the audio Bible with his wife and prayed that God would draw her to Him. God heard his prayer, and she soon came to believe in Christ as her Savior. God restored their marriage, and they were both baptized. But God wasn’t done using Isa to bring people to Him.

MULTIPLICATION

Isa started telling others about Jesus. Every day, family or friends came to his house and they talked together. The missionaries invited him to join a local discipleship team where he could train and be equipped to make disciples of Jesus.

Within just a few months, God used Isa to lead 10 people to Christ. They continued to reach out to more people. Now there are 26 people who know the Gospel because of Isa and others he began to train. They all used to be Muslims.

Sometimes there is conflict when Isa tells people about Jesus, but he relies on God to help him persevere. He has met people who had gone to witch doctors for their troubles, but when Isa sincerely prayed in Jesus’ Name for them, they were all completely healed!

Isa knows that God hears his prayers.

UNREACHED PEOPLE

Isa’s people live in villages in Tanzania, Africa. Less than 1% of his people group call themselves Christians. Most of them have never met a Christians or heard the Gospel. Isa’s vision is for all his people to be reached. He wants to give every man, woman, and child the opportunity to know that God loves them and has provided Jesus so they can know Him.

Isa isn’t alone. These new Christians are being trained to share the Gospel and multiply disciples. They are being empowered to transform their communities. To meet this need, workers in this region are developing the Angaza Training Organization & Center. Angaza is Swahili for “Shine.”

Through this new Tanzanian training organization and center, new Christians like Isa will gain Biblical leadership skills and learn how to shine the Gospel wherever God sends them.
