“O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple, they have reduced Jerusalem to rubble. They have given the dead bodies of your servants as food to the birds of the air, the flesh of your saints to the beasts of the earth.” (Psalm 79:1-2) Persecution is real and active in Asia, where several Team Expansion workers must face it head on. Pray for the underground church to grow deep roots in Jesus and multiply disciples in spite of invasive maneuvers of the enemy. Pray for saints to stand firm against the devil’s schemes.
Praise God for guidance in developing recruiting strategy and for the goal of raising up 100 national workers from other people groups in Laos. In addition to survey teams and national workers already deployed, the goal has almost been reached! (More on The Final 58)
The Druze of the Golan Heights are an offshoot of Shia Islam from a little over 1000 years ago, but they have incorporated many aspects of other religions into their belief system, including Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Socrates, Plato, etc. They esteem wisdom, so the Druze in the Golan are some of the most highly-educated people in Israel. Ask God to soften their hearts toward Godly wisdom and knowledge of Jesus so they may become followers and disciple makers of Truth.
