Community Health Evangelism can be a powerful tool for spreading the Gospel. Pray for those using CHE to educate, empower, and equip communities. Pray this approach would show people the hope that can be found in Jesus.

One of the unengaged/unreached people groups in Laos is the Mouteun. God has used both Lao national missionaries and missionaries from other countries to reach them with the Good News of Jesus. After the first 2 visits in a Mouteun village did not result in a visible response to the Gospel, a team from Indiana came to prayer walk the village. While doing so, a crazy man began trailing some ladies on the team. This man had not bathed in a long time, was eating grass, and had many other strange mannerisms. We learned later from his family that he hadn’t spoken for the last 3 years and had been demon-possessed for about the last 5 years. When the family heard of deliverance in Jesus, they were interested. A few days later, a national missionary team visited the Mouteun, and in the authority and power of Jesus’s name, cast out the demon! The man’s first words after 3 years of not speaking were, “Believe in Christ.” Hallelujah for God’s power and authority to snatch this Mouteun man from the fire. Pray for house church leaders among the Mien in Laos who are singled out as targets of persecution to persevere with grace.

Join A and Z in South Asia in praying fervently for the Lord’s will to be done in general and in state elections and government. Pray for the Lord’s protection during seasons of flooding. Pray for the children who attend VBS, that the Lord will bless them. Ask for healing for those who are experiencing sicknesses. Sickness is on the rise. Some members are in hospitals, others are at home taking medication. Pray for the Lord’s hand to heal and protect.
