God granted me the opportunity to travel to Herrnhut, Germany, where I attended a consultation for prayer and mission leaders. We spent the week praying together, hearing reports of what God is doing around the world, and discussing ways we can rally more prayer for the completion of the Great Commission.
Herrnhut was the location of a great outpouring of the Spirit exactly 290 years ago. The Holy Spirit fell on a group of Moravian believers who went on to begin a non-stop prayer meeting that lasted more than 100 years! Out of that came the modern missions movement and revivals all over the world.
Ask God to raise up prayer warriors for every remaining unengaged, unreached people group in the world.
Specific Requests
- Please join us praying these requests for linking prayer and mission efforts around the world:
- Ask God to raise up prayer warriors for every remaining unengaged, unreached people group in the world. Pray that they would be able to team up with indigenous intercessors whose churches might eventually send workers to the groups they are praying for.
- Ask God to send similar types of intercessors to the 150 people groups that currently need the most workers.
- Pray specifically for each of the global networks that are currently launching initiatives toward their part in the Great Commission. This would include 20-30 global networks and 100 geographic networks.
- Pray for the equipping of prayer intercessors for all network meetings scheduled for the next 3-5 years.
- Pray for mission leaders to set up a prayer plan for their ministries, their workers, and the people they are trying to reach.

Pray that prayer leaders will be a continual encouragement to mission leaders to live lives of holiness and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Pray for the dissemination of very specific requests to all prayer leaders in the ministry, outlining in these prayer points people, places, and leaders where the cause of the Gospel is being blocked.
- Pray for the dissemination of praise reports from each of the five strategic elements involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission in reaching the unengaged. These areas are scriptures, engaging the unengaged people groups, evangelism, orality, and church planting and presence.
- Ask for the development of a prayer calendar where people will pray each day for a different Christian leader or Christian organization.
- Pray that prayer leaders will be a continual encouragement to mission leaders to live lives of holiness and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
- Pray that intercessors might be invited to every meeting planned within mission movements.
- Ask that leaders from prayer movements might help church planters teach their new church leaders to pray more effectively, specifically, and Scripturally.
