The Potential for Expanding the Kingdom of God is Significant

Team Expansion General Request: May 2, 2019

Praise God for His testimony in BiH. Recently, workers gathered again for training, encouragement, and fellowship as a network of disciple-making movement practitioners, trainers, and coaches. Over 40 people, including a few guests who want to know more about DMM principles. Praise God for His goodness to see more Bosnian participation. There were Bosnians at every table and testimonies to how DMM principles can work if we don’t give up. The potential for expanding the kingdom of God is significant. One believer testified to the value of meeting in homes, which is how he was saved and discipled 18 years ago.

Final 58 of Laos

The movement in Laos is not without its challenges and weaknesses. There are certainly things that give us pause. But we rejoice with God that He has opened a door through the Lao Evangelical Church. Jesus is the Lord of the impossible. Please continue to pray for God’s Kingdom to advance among all Lao peoples. (More on The Final 58)

Gospel Breakthrough

Praise God for the natural beauty He created in Bihac, a small city in the northwest corner of Bosnia near the Croatian border. Locals enjoy the beauty of the Una River and boast about the waterfalls in Strbacki Buk and Martin Brod. Praise our Creator God, that just as “the heavens declare His glory and the sky proclaims the work of His hands” (Psalm 19:1), every day the people of Bihac have visible reminders pointing them to the One True God!

Please join Jorge and Sara Navarette in asking the Lord of the harvest to raise up workers to accompany Ricardo in the work he is doing in Venezuela.

Unengaged/Unreached People Group

Pray for the Lhoba, Yidu people group in China, 10,500 followers of ethnic religions. Pray that Christian radio would be heard in every Yidu home, that God’s written Word would transform, and that a vibrant Yidu church arises. Pray for harvest workers to serve the Yidu people. (More on Finishing the Task)

Give Thanks

Thank God for using this time of Jorge and Sara’s absence from Venezuela to build up Alex and Kevin as they reach out to the youth in youth group, sports outreach, and the lunch ministry. Praise God that the youth Bible study had to divide because it had outgrown the location in which they were meeting. God is moving in the midst of a crisis situation in Venezuela.
