“How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14
The need in Japan is great. According to the Joshua Project, Japan is one of the largest unreached people group in the world, even though we have the freedom to preach Christ. Japan has a population of 127 million people, but there are still only 0.5% evangelical Christians.
We have spent the over 17 years in Japan serving Christ in a variety of ways. We serve at a local Japanese Church. We support communities by teaching parenting classes to mothers and children. We have done campus outreach through partnering with a Christian cafe. Now we have an amazing opportunity to influence Japan with the gospel through Christian education.
We are working at Okinawa Christian School International, a missions school in Okinawa, Japan, with a student body of 600, comprising 80% non-Christians. This provides us a unique opportunity to minister to children and their families daily. Andy serves as the chaplain and counselor, teaching the Bible weekly to the entire student body. Megan serves as the Head of School, providing vision and direction to deliver excellent Christian education. She supports teachers and staff in their professional development. Our goal is to see entire families come to faith and students discipled to become future church leaders.
