Our required training elements will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and resources you need to thrive in each of these areas. The need for the Gospel is urgent. Our training requirements will help you get to your field faster, learn your language quicker, and start seeing fruit sooner by showing you the roadblocks you will face and how to get around them. We Want You to Be Thoroughly Equipped to Thrive on the Field
Required Training Events
Lay the groundwork for a successful relationship with Team Expansion by exploring protocols, strategies and agency DNA. Learn to approach support raising armed with effective tools from a Biblical perspective. Launch is a 5-day online training.
Connect and build important relationships with individuals, teams, and ministries from International Services. These services provide a vital “Link” to your team and family to help you thrive during your time with Team Expansion. Link is a 5-day in-person training.
Our vision is all about seeing Disciple-Making Movements (DMM) among the unreached. In Jonathan Training you will learn how to create a movement of Disciples who make more disciples and how to equip others to do the same.
An exciting nine lesson interactive study of the purpose and plan of God from Genesis to the end of the age. This course seeks to align every believer’s worldview with God’s heart for the nations and mobilize the whole Church for His global mission.
We’ve created a checklist of all the required actions that must be completed to become a missionary. As a Team Expansion Recruit, our coaches and support team will guide you through this checklist. You will receive the checklist when you attend Launch. If you would like to have it sooner, just let us know.

In addition to these requirements, you are encouraged to begin or continue to grow in these areas of spiritual development now as you prepare for full-time service. The above trainings will also help you with guidance and resources in many of these areas.
- Create a plan for regular Bible study, prayer, memorization with a mechanism for accountability.
- Connect with a mentor/coach (our coaching services team is happy to help you with this) and an accountability partner.
- As we pursue disciple-making movements and trust God for the fruit, Team Expansion looks at several indicators that are important to DMM but also vital to our lives as followers of Christ. These include prayer, sharing our story (testimony) and God’s story (the Good News!), inviting people into groups, and sharing with others what we’ve learned. This is at the core of what you’d be doing as a worker with Team Expansion wherever in the world you may go, but it starts now right where you are.
